BACKGROUND: Interior Architecture
INTERNSHIP: GHIGOS IDEAS
FINAL PROJECT: URBAN INTERIOR DESIGN, PUBLIC SPACE INTERVENTION – tutor: Barbara di Prete/Luciano Crespi
My name is Payam, I was born on 1986 in Tehran, Iran. I have a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from Middlesex University in London, England. I have been traveling and experienced student lifestyle in different countries and identified myself as a multicultural person. I initially became interested in the design field by ideas such as the enjoyment of creating some things new, analyzing a set of facts and putting them together as a coherent result also the beauty aspects of design. I have worked in an architecture firm and also freelance for about a year. My nature is to always transform from one point to another and move on to further stages therefore, seeking for new aspiration in design carrier is a primary need. Studying Urban Interior Design would allow me to extend the notion of designing from a confined space to an open compound and target a larger group of people. I graduated as an interior architect but mainly dealt with facade design so I admire the change in designing policy by creating a connection from interior to exterior and eventually to the urban scale. To my point of view the idea of designing public space is defined as dealing with a very sensitive client which is the public thus, it makes the whole process of work into a tricky situation and change the overall composition into a very delicate movements. To be very honest I do not claim to be a poetic person or really being worried about the future of mankind however I do believe that society moving forward, life is changing in a sense, there is no other choice except upgrading the personal knowledge and keep on working.
